CODEB O2 MEETS AT CCT, TUGUEGARAO CITY

The Council of Deans and Educators in Business (CODEB) 02 had its first meeting for the schoolyear 2009-2010 at Cagayan Colleges of Tuguegarao on October 2, 2009. The agenda included the following:
  • 2nd Northern Luzon Business Research Forum (co-sponsored by the Council of Deans in Business RO 02 and CAR, to be held at Saint Louis University, Baguio City on November 29, 2009).
  • The Business Education-Industry Summit and PCDEB Annual Convention on December 3-4, 2009.
  • The three-day International Conference on Management Education and Practice (ICMEP 2010) with the theme Strengthening Global Linkages Through Management Education and Practice to be conducted in Kao Hsiung City, Taiwan on February 19-20-21, 2010.
  • Other matters:
a. Search for Outstanding Business Educators
b. International Association of Management Educators, Researchers and Practitioners (IAMERP)

There were around 17 higher educational institutions in business and business-related programs that were represented in the said meeting. Dr. Florida Capili and Dr. Josefina S. Tangaro of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED RO 02) also attended the meeting.

After the meeting, Dr. Cristina G. Gallato, Cluster President, thanked CCT, the host institution through Dr. Leandro Ermitanio, the Dean of Commerce and Accountancy, the CHED supervisors, and the participants, who, despite the impending typhoon, attended the cluster meeting.
